This is one of the rarest American sport sedans ever built. For years the Mustang has been the American sport coupe, and then came the SHO Turaus. Working under the Special Vehicle Team banner (SVT) Ford put together a souped up compact sport sedan that would put the BMW' and other Japanese sport sedans on notice. In the spring of 97 Ford released this high reving beast to dealership across America, and got just what they wanted. A head turning, heart pounding ride that could still get the daily chores done and be the weekend thrill ride too.
Off the lot the 200 HP Contour SVT comes with a full bodykit, sitting on 16" rims wrapped with Goodyear performace tires and lowered about 2" compared to its stock Contour sister. Mine is build number 1295 out the 6K that were built in 1998, which makes them even more rare. These cars come with a SVT (birth) certifcate, signed by the Ford President to is authenification of status, how many can say that about their street machine.
