Bred in the bluegrass of Nicholasville, Kentucky, this late 80's isuzu impulse runs a 2.0 4ZC1 sohc Turbo engine with forged pistons, shot peened rods, port and polished head, custom ground iskenderian cam, and chevrolet 350 valve springs to hold the valves shut. To get enough fuel to match the air it runs 450cc dsm injectors and two more stock 290cc injectors right in front of the throttle body. It's fed by the stock fuel pump into a surge tank, and then into the N.O.S fuel pump just to make sure there's enough fuel, then on to an aeromotive fuel regulator. To cool all this fuel it uses a moroso cool can which drains using a water spicket sticking out the bottom of the right front fender. It spools up an Airesearch To4 turbo, and to get all the exhaust running directly to the turbo, I've handbuilt a custom Burns 321 stainless header. To dump all the unwanted exhaust it uses a tial 38mm external wastegate right out of the side, behind the left front tire. Coming out of the turbo is a 3" downpipe staying 3" all the way back to the 3" in, 4 1/2" out apex exhaust. All this exhaust compresses 15lbs of air through 2 1/2 " tubing and a 24"x12"x4" front mount intercooler. I've been told the interior sports enough auto meter gauges for two cars. The fuel pressure gauge sets in front of the windshield. You hang on to a wood grain steering wheel and a massive q-ball shift knob. To stop all this power it uses 1990 300zx 4 piston calipers and duel piston rear calipers, mounted to stock rotors. It sticks to the track using qa1 proma star double adjustable coil overs. The springs wrapped around the coil overs are 400lb spring rate in the front, and 380 spring rate in the rear, all this sits on stock 14" wheels and Nitto nto1 tires.
