Started out as a bone stock, P-type Celica Supra that had been mistreated and not taken care of. Now coming into it's own as a performance street/drift car! First thing was first, slamming it! Cut the springs all the way around and let it ride on stock SR5 Supra wheels for a while. Ride quality is actually great compared to most cars with cut springs. It then went through the process of deleting the rest of the A/C since the compressor was MIA when I got it. Took all the lines out, condenser, wiring, etc then went to deleting the emissions system. EGR wasn't too hard considering it was basically the fabricating of a block-off plate that was the hardest. Next I decided to double the fuel pressure which wasn't too hard other than using a gauge and a hose clamp! Exhaust followed shortly afterwards. The car had come with a Cherry Bomb glass pack going to a Dynomax muffler, which didn't sound too bad except I didn't like the tone. I cut the Dynomax off and had a local welding shop put a Harley drag pipe on as a make-shift drift stack. It. Sounded. AWESOME. Shortly afterwards though I had gotten rid of the car for a good deal, but started missing it. A few weeks later, I had gotten it back and went back to work on it. I started by taking out all of the interior in the back for a little weight reduction. Afterwards, I rhino-lined the whole rear of the car inside to help with a lot of the road noise, exhaust, etc. I also decided to take all the outside trim off since the majority of it was peeling up and rusted through. I acquired a Grant 3 spoke wheel for free, so I had to get an adapter. While waiting on my adapter, I decided to go with a massive shift knob, and who better to supply one, but 9K Racing. Even after all the little engine work I did, I still wasn't happy with all the power even though it was supposed to be around 250. I looked it up on the internet and figured out how to tune my AFM and went to town. With it tuned, the car pulled harder in 3rd, 4th, and 5th, just like that! Buddy of mine came to me shortly afterwards wanting my SR5 wheels for his 76 Celica, so I traded them to him for his stock 13"s and $100 CA$H! His wheels didn't fit regularly on my car so I flipped them around and they worked just fine and made the car look like a skateboard! Still not happy with the appearance, even with my -20 offset 13"s(LOL) I went online looking for a nicer set of wheels and came across a brand new set of Gold XXR 527's and jumped on them. A week later, I had already order tires for them. Within the week of my tire delivery, I went to my buddy's shop and had them mounted and balanced and proceeded to take them home to put them on. After making a run to my local Auto-Zone, I had the lugnuts to put them on also! They looked great but a little too good for my basically primered car so I went on the quest for a paint guy! FINALLY, found a guy who would do exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price and ended up choosing Snow White for the color with a black mouth around the grille for that full P-type look. As for the dual spoilers, I took them off and had my buddy's dad paint them gold marble over gloss black. Car is still in paint right now getting the remainder of the body work and blemishes worked out right now but once it's out, the places where the trim were will be replaced by strips of black vinyl to cover the holes as well as separate all the white! Other plans also include Mk III Supra badges as well as the OEM 'SUPRA' billboard for the hatch. The spoiler's however are already finished and came out great. I went ahead and raised the hatch visor on the main piece just to make it stand out even more! Will keep this updated until it is finished so keep checking back!
